Beaucastel has 130 ha of vineyards, of which 100 ha are in the Châteauneuf du Pape AC area, and the rest is east of the highway, the "Coudoulet de Beaucastel" in the Côtes du Rhône AC. Beaucastel has used no chemical fertilizers since 1964.In 1994, Beaucastel was certified organic and is now partially biodynamic, but does not advertise organic viticulture because it does not want to use it as advertising material. Organic farming makes the microorganisms in the soil more active, the soil more aerobic and softer, and the vines are able to grow deeper and deeper, and their deep roots soak up minerals from deep within the soil.
 
Grenache and Cinsault provide color, intensity and softness, while Mourvedre and Syrah give the wine a mature and classic impression. This is a fine red wine from Cotes du Rhone with complex aromas of blackcurrant, thyme and tobacco that is irresistible!
