Founded in 1970 by Natalino Bartolomei and his wife Anna, the winery’s legacy is carried forward by sons Massimiliano and Walter. In the Piceno hills of Offida, the estate spans 130 hectares of organic vineyards. The collection of wines, ranging from indigenous Passerina and Pecorino grapes to renowned varieties like Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Merlot, and Chardonnay, artfully capture the essence of the Marche region.
The vineyards flourish, benefiting from the protection of the Apennines to the west and the gentle Adriatic sea breezes from the east, guarding against disease. Building upon the passion and expertise passed down from Natalino, Massimiliano and Walter masterfully blend time-honoured practices with cutting-edge techniques.
Hailing from 30-year-old vines, this wine is cultivated using a traditional pergola system, mainly on alluvial and mid-weight clay soils. Hand-harvested at around 120 hl/ha, it undergoes soft pressing and long fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks. The result is an easy-going palate with aromas of wisteria and tropical fruit, complemented by green melon, ripe pear, and bitter almond notes. Tangy acidity keeps it bright, while the minerality adds character.
Oris, an organic blend of Trebbiano, Pecorino, and Passerina, hails from Offida and Acquaviva Picena in Marche’s Ascoli Piceno province at 300m. Native fermented in stainless, it rests on lees for 4 months, resulting in a textural mouthfeel with notes of pear, white blossoms, Asian pear, white peach, and fresh almonds, complemented by a subtle waxy undertone and a refreshing finish with lingering salinity.
