Te Kano, Maori for seed, celebrates the lone surviving Kowhai tree affectionately known as 'Old Man Kowhai' on the Northburn slopes above Lake Dunstan — on land Te Kano Estate calls home. Proprietor Rhonda Lloyd fell in love with the land and lifestyle of Central Otago.
 
The Land Series pays homage to unique terroirs, crafting limited quantities capturing the essence of Bannockburn, Northburn, and Waitaki soils. The Kin Series radiates vibrancy, perfect for gatherings with loved ones, while The Life Series blends vineyard parcels, embodying Central Otago’s way of life.
 
A focussed and concentrated Pinot Noir with complex aromas of orange peel, pot pourri and fresh red cherry. Flavours of vanilla, spice and ripe berry fruits follow through on the palate, leading into savoury forest floor and mushroom.
