Te Kano, Maori for seed, celebrates the lone surviving Kowhai tree affectionately known as 'Old Man Kowhai' on the Northburn slopes above Lake Dunstan — on land Te Kano Estate calls home. Proprietor Rhonda Lloyd fell in love with the land and lifestyle of Central Otago.
 
The Land Series pays homage to unique terroirs, crafting limited quantities capturing the essence of Bannockburn, Northburn, and Waitaki soils. 
 
Made in extremely small quantities, this cabernet Franc is a reflection of the unique terroir of our Central Otago, Northburn site.
Blackcurrant, blueberry, and licorice aromas leap from the glass, followed by raspberry and spice. Fresh, crunchy tannins and lively acidity entwine around a core of fresh vibrant fruit.
Uniquely grown in the southernmost wine-growing region in the world and made without added sulphur.
