A blend of fruit from various sources, and vines of varying ages. Some are just over ten years old, others date to the 1930s, in Brézé, and in the Clos des Guichaux and Clos des Carmes. It was picked by hand, fermented in whole bunches in stainless steel, with élevage in same for six months. A charming nose here, calling to mind apple, white peach and pear, very expressive, perfumed with crushed chalk and white pepper. The palate feels rather soft focus though, with plump orchard fruits and rather modest acidity. A little length and bitterness in the finish.
