TASTING PARTIES
Private Wine & Sake
Experiences
Gather 6–12 friends and enjoy a relaxed, sommelier-led tasting in the comfort of your own space.
Hiro tailors each experience to your group — whether you would like to explore wine, sake, or a little of both.
Elevate a dinner party or test your knowledge. Hiro tailors tastings to all levels, from dinner party fun to specialised blind tastings. Just enjoying wine and paired food is, of course, also an option. Hiro can even explain the science behind food and wine pairings if that's your thing.

"Hiro's encouragement to try new wines and flavours was contagious. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the night fun and educational. His personality is perfect for a home atmosphere without the night feeling awkward or strained. He explained why I might like or dislike a wine and why certain wines would suit my palette – he’s the perfect host, whether it be at your home or at a special event."
– Christina G, Auckland

Private Sake Tasting at Home
Discover sake beyond the label.
Sake can be difficult to choose when every bottle seems to speak a different language. Hiro, a qualified sake sommelier, will guide you through the styles, flavours and stories behind each bottle — in a relaxed way that makes sake easier to understand and much more enjoyable to drink.
Taste, ask questions, discover what you like — and learn how to choose your next bottle with confidence.

Tastings are designed for groups of 6 or more. Smaller groups are also welcome, subject to our minimum booking charge.
There is plenty of time to ask questions throughout the tasting. We keep things relaxed rather than treating it like a formal class, and there is no additional charge if good sake and good conversation keep the evening going a little longer.
