A Great Haute Couture Champagne Crafted by a Young Genius
The Côte des Bar, a rising star in the world of Champagne, has been attracting increasing attention in recent years. At the forefront of this movement is the brilliant young winemaker Cédric Bouchard, the visionary behind the exceptional Rosé de Jeanne—a Champagne that truly embodies the spirit of haute couture. Bouchard's vineyards are located in the village of Celles-sur-Ource, in the Aube department at the southern edge of the Champagne region—far from the traditional heartland of the Marne.

What sets his approach apart is his unwavering commitment to crafting Champagne from a single vineyard, single grape variety, and single vintage. This philosophy results in wines of striking individuality and purity—Champagnes that can only be described as haute couture. Production is extremely limited, with all vineyards combined totaling just a few hectares. Unsurprisingly, the immense demand for Rosé de Jeanne makes it exceptionally hard to find. Fermentation is conducted in stainless steel tanks, with relatively short aging periods, yet the wines consistently achieve a quality level that invites comparisons to the likes of Jacques Selosse—not because of stylistic similarity, but due to the sheer excellence. More than just great Champagne.
