Domaine Sylvain Cathiard, led by Sébastien Cathiard, is one of the most highly regarded producers in Vosne-Romanée, known for wines of precision and purity.This village-level Vosne-Romanée is made from 100% Pinot Noir, sourced from multiple parcels across the commune, including vines aged between approximately 30 and 60 years. The grapes are fully destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts, then aged in oak barrels (around 50% new oak), allowing structure while preserving clarity of fruit. The 2023 vintage shows lifted aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, and rose petal, with subtle mineral notes. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and a precise, elegant finish.
