Courgis comes from the left bank of Chablis, where clay topsoil sits over Kimmeridgian limestone bedrock. Often one of the most structured of Patrick Piuze’s village-level terroir wines, it shows the generosity of the 2022 vintage with ripe pear, white flowers and waxy citrus, while a firm chalky frame and oyster-shell minerality keep the wine focused and deeply Chablisien.
