This is the standard cuvée from Domaine des Roches Neuves. Made from 35- to 45-year-old Cabernet Franc vines with yields carefully limited to around 35–40 hl/ha. The grapes are hand-harvested with great care, then fermented in concrete tanks. After fermentation, part of the wine is aged in large 60hl foudres, while the rest matures on lees in vertically oval wooden barrels.
The wine is bottled without fining or filtration. It offers the soft, supple mouthfeel characteristic of all Cabernet Franc wines from Roches Neuves. There are subtle spice nuances, but no green or herbaceous notes—only pure, concentrated fruit essence. The fruit expression is clear and vibrant, yet there's always a refreshing coolness that is a hallmark of the domaine's style.
