A root-driven Japanese Amaro focusing on depth and natural bitterness. Scarlet Radice Amaro 2025 is crafted by Iseya Distillery using a wide range of carefully selected botanicals, with a particular emphasis on roots such as gentian and angelica. The botanicals are individually macerated and blended in small batches to achieve balance and complexity. This expression represents a Japanese interpretation of classic European amaro, highlighting precision and restraint rather than intensity. More than 30 botanicals are used, including gentian, angelica, chicory, licorice, and citrus peels, creating a layered structure of earthy bitterness and gentle aromatic lift. Careful resting after blending allows the flavours to integrate, resulting in a refined and well-structured liquid.
