Sechet comes from the Vaillons family of Premier Cru climats, but in Dauvissat’s hands it has its own quieter, stonier identity. The site is associated with shallow, well-drained, limestone-driven soils, and the 2023 captures that with green apple, white flowers and oyster shell over a taut chalk line. Compared with La Forest, it feels more discreet at first, then lengthens with racy acidity, mineral drive and a pure, almost lifted finish. It is a wine of finesse rather than display—the kind of Chablis that draws you back not by volume, but by clarity.
