The “J” sets the benchmark for a claret, especially as a very unexpected Bordeaux style from Marlborough. Mike Eaton planted some of these varieties at his wife’s request. Intense, fresh blackcurrant fruit with notes of cloves, tar and spice.  Surprisingly good almost 10years before.
