This is one of the great sweet wine treasures of the world; a stunning Chenin Blanc straw wine that contains some botrytised fruit. The viscous gold wine is beautiful to watch as you swirl your glass. This fleshy yet focused sweet wine has notes of gooseberry compote, dried apricots, marmalade, marzipan and honey aromas. The complex layers of the intense mouthfeel are balanced by a Granitic freshness, as one would expect from wines grown in ancient Swartland soils. 
 
It is an indulgently rich wine that has a lingering finish, perfect for rounding off a meal with some cheese.  On the dessert wine scale it sits somewhere between a Sauternes and a Tokaji. This wine is drinking well now and will age beautifully until 2030. Best served between 9°C to 11°C.
