The Basque Country is the gastronomic capital of Spain.
Chacori is a 'local wine' that has been nurtured alongside this gastronomic culture.

The history of Chacori began when Basque grape farmers made it for their own consumption. It is truly a 'local wine'.
There are various theories as to the origin of the name "Chacori", but one theory is that it is a variation of the Basque word "Etxeko Ain".
A long time ago, a scholar who was researching wines from all over Spain visited the Basque Country and asked a wine farmer, "How much wine do you make here?
The reply that came back was this 'Etxeko Ain'. The literal translation is that the perfect amount for drinking at home = for drinking ourselves, not for selling.
 
Fresh, but rich. Baked apples with butter and apricots in nose with some mineral notes and pineapple. In mouth acidic like fermenting baked apples, white currants with little bitterness and notes of calvados on finish.
