Vino di Anna Bianco G Etna Bianco Grecanico
The nose is initially tropical, giving way to white peach, apricot, and a hint of white florals. On the palate, there are layers of yellow apples and ripe citrus along with toast, spice, and - as expected from Etna - a flinty, salty minerality. Medium-bodied with a very subtle effervescent lift and crisp acidity.
The grapes, ranging from 60-100 years old, are organically grown, vinification is mostly traditional winemaking techniques, including qvevri (clay vessels) and Palmento (old Sicilian cellar buildings). Minimal intervention, low sulfur, and no fining or filtration. The wines speak of their terroir, and sing with a joyous alchemy of expression and focus.
*Bianco “G” is Vino di Anna's flagship white wine, the 'G' here standing for 100% Grecanico.
